Mandatory Work Activity (MWA)

TLP delivers the Mandatory Work Activity on behalf of learndirect and covers both East and West Dunbartonshire. Mandatory Work Activity helps jobseekers, who have demonstrated a need for additional support, to gain work related disciplines or a need to re-engage with their search for work. Placements are sourced by TLP and last four weeks.  All placements are of benefit to the local community and include helping out in charity shops and on environmental projects.  Travel, childcare and any additional support costs are provided to the participant while on placement.  All referrals to the programme are made by Jobcentre Plus advisers.   Placements aim to instil disciplines such as attending on time, regularly carrying out specific tasks and working under supervision.
